| November 17, 2000 CALOSHA AND FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS SAFETY FOUNDATION LIST THE BIOACCESS BONE MARROW COLLECTION KIT ON SAFETY LISTS. The BioAccess Bone Marrow Harvest System recognized as a Safety Device by two additional healthcare safety organizations: CalOSHA and Frontline Healthcare Workers Safety Foundation. Previously, the Bone Marrow Collection System had been recognized by The International Healthcare Worker Safety Center and listed as a Safety Device. These three organizations have reviewed the Bone Marrow Collection Kit and its design features to eliminate spraying of bone marrow during collection and filtration and list the BioAccess Bone Marrow Collection System as a Safety Device. The Bone Marrow Collection Kit (MH-2150) incorporates several design features that allow bone marrow harvesting, bone marrow collection and bone marrow filtration to occur while eliminating steps such as spraying of a blood product. Predicate and competitive devices require the healthcare worker to spray the bone marrow during the bone marrow collection. Bone Marrow Collection Centers, Bone Marrow Transplant Centers, their harvesting physicians, and transplant staff positively view the features of the BioAccess Bone Marrow Collection System. The BioAccess Bone Marrow Collection Kit is the only bone marrow collection product listed on these Safety Device Lists.
